This past Wednesday, Nordstrom’s Collectors put together a beautiful Lanvin trunk show. All the pieces you are about to see came directly from the couture house in Paris, and I was one of the lucky few who got to model each piece for our very special clients, (and that’s only because I was one of two girls who’s a size 36.) lol.
The event was put together to honor Alber Elbaz 10 year anniversary as the creative director of Lanvin. Fun fact: Did you know that Jean Lanvin is the oldest and one of the most influential fashion houses of all time? Lanvin has to be my most favorite designer of all; not because it’s the oldest, but because of the craftsmanship, quality and hand-made pieces that tell a story. His signature frayed hems, his autograph on each shoe, and his use of marking each piece by season (except for this season, where each tag is marked with “10 year anniversary piece in French,) differentiate him from all the imitators. Hope you all have fun looking at these photos as much as I did wearing these extraordinary couture/runway pieces.
Here is the look from above straight off the runway. Beautiful Swarovski incrusted sole.
My favorite piece: The ruffled dark green trench coat. So warm, so cozy and so not affordable My beautiful co-worker and friend Amanda Fieler. Straight off the runway
I apologize for the photo quality and weird alien faces. I was not the subject of the photographs, the clothes were.
This was such a fun and memorable experience for me. Which one was your favorite look? Were you lucky enough to snag an anniversary piece for yourself?
