You know that feeling when you just need a change? Whether it’s a new outfit, or fresh manicure, there’s just something about altering a bit of yourself that gets you in the mood for new seasons and upcoming holidays. For me, the change I needed was my hair. I was getting bored with it and couldn’t decide between going darker, or lighter. To get rid of the ombre, or not. So I decided to head on over to D&L and let the team help me decide. I also decided to cut some length. Laila advised me it would bring out the color and keep it healthy.
While at the salon, I also decided to buy some hair products. Paul Mitchell’s Awapuhi Wild Ginger collection is the best sulfate-free shampoo I’ve used to date. The smell is euphoric, but not over-perfumed, and a little goes a very long way. If you’re constantly coloring your hair, it is extremely important that you use a sulfate-free shampoo. Not only does it help protect your color, but it keeps it from fading and supplies a great amount of moisture. I’ve been on sulfate-free shampoos for over two years, and my hair has never looked or felt as healthy as it does now.
